Frequently asked questions

Short, honest answers about the game, how it handles your data and what it costs.

What is CaseTwist?

A detective game played inside someone else’s phone. You get a fictional smartphone — messages, photo albums, a calendar, social feeds, a banking app — and one job: work out what really happened. You answer investigative questions in your own words, the way a detective writes notes, not by picking from a list.

Is it free?

The first case is free in full — beginning, twist and ending, with no paywall in the middle. Further cases are one-time purchases. There is no subscription and there are no ads.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no registration, no login and no cloud save. Your progress and the answers you type stay on your device.

Does it work offline?

Yes. A downloaded case runs completely offline, including answer checking. Planes, trains and dead zones are fine.

How long is one case?

Around 90 minutes of reading and deduction, split naturally into several sittings. The phone remembers where you stopped.

How does answering work?

You type what you deduced. The game compares it against the answer patterns shipped inside the case, on your device. Close but not exact gets you a nudge instead of a rejection — you are being asked to think, not to guess the exact wording.

Which platforms and languages?

Android and iOS at launch, in English and Polish. More languages follow the data, not a wish list.

Is any of this real?

No. Every phone, person, company and message is invented. The game has no access to anybody’s real data and is not a tool for checking up on real people.

Is it suitable for children?

No. The stories deal with adult themes — lying inside a relationship, addiction — and are not directed at anyone under 16.

When does it launch?

The first case is in production. The game is not on Google Play or the App Store yet; this site is where the release will be announced.
